Nanny briefing template for Saudi Arabia (copy and print)
This template gives your nanny or helper in Saudi Arabia everything she needs on one page: school times for each child, who may collect, kit by day, allergies, emergency numbers (911 in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah and the Eastern Province; elsewhere 999 police, 997 ambulance, 998 civil defence), which school WhatsApp groups she is in, plus a remote learning day plan and a weekly plan. Copy it, fill in the brackets and stick it inside a kitchen cupboard.
How to use this template
- Fill in the standing sheet once a term.
- Send the weekly plan every Saturday evening, as the school week runs Sunday to Thursday.
- Send the remote day plan the evening before any online day.
For the reasoning behind each section, see how to brief your nanny or helper in Saudi Arabia.

Filling it in for Saudi Arabia
- School apps: Public schools run on two Ministry of Education systems. Noor is the student records system (grades, attendance and results) and Madrasati is the learning platform, where Virtual Classes and assignments live. On a remote day your child opens Virtual Classes in Madrasati, then Join. Private and international schools usually add their own app or learning platform and send links by email.
- Remote days: Riyadh and Diriyah public schools moved to remote study through Madrasati in October 2026, extended to Thursday 22 October according to the General Administration of Education in Riyadh. Remote days can be announced at short notice by the regional education department, often on its official X account, so tell your nanny that the message from you is the one that counts. For the full remote routine, see remote learning with a nanny or helper (GCC guide).
- Holidays: add term breaks from our Saudi school holidays 2026-27 and Saudi remote learning guide for parents, and mark her rest day.
- Hours: the rest-day line is there for a reason. In Saudi Arabia the rules give 10 effective working hours a day, at least 8 hours' continuous rest and a paid 24-hour weekly rest day.

What emergency numbers go on a nanny sheet in Saudi Arabia?
911 in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah and the Eastern Province; elsewhere 999 police, 997 ambulance, 998 civil defence. Add your home address with a landmark, both parents' mobiles, a nearby backup adult and the school reception number.
How often should I update the template?
Update the standing sheet each term or when something changes, such as a new bus, a new activity or new times. Send the weekly plan every Saturday evening for the week starting Sunday.
Should the template include school portal logins?
No. Keep passwords with you. Write where lesson links appear and what she should do if a child is logged out: message you.
Can I translate the template?
Yes. A version in the language she reads most comfortably helps. Keep times, names and numbers in digits so nothing is lost in translation.
