Filling it in for Oman
- School apps: Government schools use the Ministry of Education's Educational Portal (home.moe.gov.om). Parents can see absence, daily notes and the school agenda, and students see timetables, exam schedules and virtual classes. Student logins for ministry platforms are now listed on the new student accounts platform (edugate.moe.gov.om). Private and international schools use their own parent app or learning platform.
- Remote days: Oman uses remote days mostly for weather. On 1 April 2026 the ministry switched schools in several governorates to e-learning for a day because of expected rain, and it has asked families to rely on official ministry channels, not forwarded rumours, when deciding whether school is remote. For the full remote routine, see remote learning with a nanny or helper (GCC guide).
- Holidays: add term breaks from our IB school calendars across the GCC 2026-27 and CBSE school calendars across the GCC 2026-27, and mark her rest day.
- Hours: the rest-day line is there for a reason. In Oman the rules give a paid weekly day off.

What emergency numbers go on a nanny sheet in Oman?
Check your country's official emergency number and write it down. Add your home address with a landmark, both parents' mobiles, a nearby backup adult and the school reception number.
How often should I update the template?
Update the standing sheet each term or when something changes, such as a new bus, a new activity or new times. Send the weekly plan every Saturday evening for the week starting Sunday.
Should the template include school portal logins?
No. Keep passwords with you. Write where lesson links appear and what she should do if a child is logged out: message you.
Can I translate the template?
Yes. A version in the language she reads most comfortably helps. Keep times, names and numbers in digits so nothing is lost in translation.
